What do we do with your information?

When you sign up to our mailing list or register your product, as part of the process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

We also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email Marketing

With your permission, we will occasionally send you emails about Acoustic Energy, including new product releases, offers, competitions and other information that we feel may be of interest to you. We will only send you emails if you have consented to receiving them.

The way you engage with our emails provides valuable information for the type of emails we send you. We collect information such as whether you open the email, and whether you click on a link or purchase a product, by collecting this information we can ensure all future emails are tailored to what we believe you would want to find out about.

You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time, you can do this by either clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of an email, or by emailing marketing@acoustic-energy.co.uk.

We use the 3rd party company ‘Transpond’ to send and manage emails that we send to you. The collected information is transferred and processed by MailChimp; you can view Transponds privacy policy here.

Registering a Product / Contact Form

When you complete our contact form or register a product, your data will be collected and used to complete the action required. The data collected includes your full name, contact address and email address. This information will only be used to complete the action intended and will not be used for any marketing or promotional purposes.

Consent

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a purchase, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent?

Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if we are required to by law or if you violate our Terms of Service.

Third party services

Our website uses Google Analytics to help us learn about who visits our site and what pages are being looked at. By using this information we can learn about how you use the website, so we can personalise your experience on repeat visits, and design the site in the most user-friendly way.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
